Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hybrid Oil & Gas Reservoir Engineer to join our dynamic team in Donaustadt, Vienna. This role involves comprehensive reservoir management, simulation, and optimization activities to maximize hydrocarbon recovery and enhance field performance. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing reservoir development plans, conducting detailed studies, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams. The position offers a hybrid work model, blending on-site collaboration with remote flexibility.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Perform reservoir characterization, simulation, and modeling using industry-standard software.
• Develop and evaluate reservoir development plans, including infill drilling, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) projects, and production optimization strategies.
• Conduct well performance analysis, decline curve analysis, and material balance calculations.
• Estimate hydrocarbon reserves and resources in compliance with international standards.
• Collaborate with geologists, petrophysicists, production engineers, and economists to integrate subsurface data and optimize field development.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and provide recommendations to management.
• Monitor reservoir performance and identify opportunities for production enhancement and cost efficiency.
• Participate in peer reviews and technical meetings to ensure best practices are applied.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in reservoir engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, CMG, Petrel Reservoir Engineering).
• Strong understanding of reservoir geology, fluid properties, and rock mechanics.
• Expertise in reserves estimation methodologies and economic evaluation principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication in an international environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Experience with unconventional reservoirs or CO2 EOR projects.
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for data analysis and automation.
• Familiarity with production optimization software and data visualization tools.
• PhD in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
