Stellenbeschreibung
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lavender Farm Assistant with strong English communication skills to join our horticultural team. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about plant care, sustainable farming practices, and engaging with a diverse public. You will play a crucial part in the cultivation, maintenance, and harvesting of our lavender collections, while also providing a warm ‚English Welcome‘ to visitors and contributing to an inclusive environment. No prior extensive experience is required, as we value a willingness to learn and grow with us.
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten
- Assist with all stages of lavender cultivation, including planting, weeding, pruning, and harvesting.
- Monitor plant health, identifying and addressing issues such as pests or diseases under supervision.
- Operate and maintain basic gardening tools and equipment safely.
- Contribute to the general upkeep and cleanliness of the lavender beds and surrounding areas.
- Provide a friendly and informative 'English Welcome' to visitors, answering basic questions about the farm and lavender.
- Support educational programs and workshops related to lavender, particularly for English-speaking groups.
- Assist with packaging and preparing lavender products for sale or display.
- Work collaboratively with the horticulture team to ensure high standards of garden presentation and plant welfare.
Erforderliche Fähigkeiten
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) for welcoming visitors and internal communication.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn about horticultural practices and plant care.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
