Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Network Engineer with a strong focus on Cisco technologies to join our dynamic team in Neuss, Germany. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about building, maintaining, and optimizing robust network infrastructures. Crucially, proficiency in German is NOT a requirement for this role, as our team operates in an international, English-speaking environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring the high availability and performance of our enterprise network, supporting critical business operations.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Design, implement, and maintain complex Cisco-based network infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to ensure maximum uptime and service availability.
• Configure and manage network security devices, including VPNs and access control lists, in collaboration with security teams.
• Perform regular network audits, document configurations, and ensure compliance with best practices and corporate policies.
• Participate in network capacity planning and upgrades, recommending new technologies and solutions to enhance network efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including server, cloud, and application teams, to support integrated solutions.
• Provide technical support and expertise for network-related incidents and requests, often requiring on-call rotation.
• Keep abreast of new Cisco technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our network environment.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Network Engineer, specifically with Cisco products and technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches (IOS/NX-OS), including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP.
• Experience with Cisco ASA/Firepower firewalls, VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL VPN), and network security concepts.
• Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal (German language skills are not required).
• Relevant Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP Routing and Switching/Enterprise).

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Advanced Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP Security, CCIE).
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies (Cisco Viptela, Meraki).

• Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
• ITIL Foundation certification.
