We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Packaging Technologist specializing in Packaging Design to join our dynamic R&D team in Adliswil. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the development, optimization, and implementation of packaging solutions for our premium chocolate products. You will combine technical expertise with a keen eye for aesthetic and functional design, ensuring our packaging not only meets rigorous quality and sustainability standards but also enhances the consumer experience and brand identity. This role involves close collaboration with marketing, production, and external suppliers to bring cutting-edge packaging concepts from ideation to market.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Lead the design and development of new packaging concepts and materials for confectionery products, focusing on innovation, sustainability, and cost-efficiency.
• Conduct feasibility studies, material selection, and testing for new packaging components, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to translate brand vision and consumer insights into distinctive and functional packaging designs.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure packaging designs are manufacturable, scalable, and optimized for existing machinery.
• Manage packaging projects from concept to launch, including timeline management, budget adherence, and stakeholder communication.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and sustainable packaging solutions, integrating best practices into design processes.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications, design drawings, and quality control documentation for packaging materials.
• Analyze and resolve packaging-related issues, implement continuous improvement initiatives for existing packaging.
• Liaise with external suppliers, agencies, and partners to source materials, prototype designs, and ensure quality execution.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in packaging development or design, preferably within the FMCG or food industry.
• Proficiency in packaging design software (e.g., ArtiosCAD, SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strong understanding of various packaging materials (e.g., paperboard, flexibles, plastics, glass) and their properties.
• Demonstrated experience with packaging testing methodologies and quality control procedures.
• Knowledge of sustainability principles in packaging and experience with eco-friendly material selection.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a meticulous attention to detail.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Packaging Science, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with premium or luxury goods packaging.
• Knowledge of German is a strong asset.
• Familiarity with European packaging regulations and standards.
