Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Policy Advisor (English) to join our dynamic team in Heidelberg. This role involves conducting in-depth research, analysis, and reporting on a range of international policy issues, primarily for an English-speaking audience. The successful candidate will contribute to our mission by providing well-researched insights, developing policy recommendations, and engaging with stakeholders. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence policy discussions on critical global challenges.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on assigned policy areas, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Draft policy briefs, reports, articles, and other publications in clear, concise, and impactful English.
• Present research findings and policy recommendations to internal teams, external partners, and high-level stakeholders.
• Monitor global political and economic developments relevant to the institution's research agenda.
• Collaborate with senior researchers and project leads to develop new research initiatives and projects.
• Represent the organization at conferences, workshops, and public events.
• Contribute to the strategic development of research themes and project ideas.
• Provide expert advice and support to governmental and non-governmental actors.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Public Policy, or a related field.
• Excellent command of English (native speaker or equivalent fluency) with strong writing and editing skills.
• Demonstrated experience in policy-oriented research and analysis.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality written outputs for diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Familiarity with international political and economic dynamics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Proficiency in German or another major European language.
• Experience working within a think tank, governmental institution, or international organization.
