Are you a highly motivated individual with a passion for languages and a keen eye for detail? Lionbridge is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Translation Intern to join our dynamic team in Graz. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the professional translation industry, specifically focusing on German to English language pairs. You will work alongside experienced linguists and project managers, contributing to various exciting projects and developing your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Translate a variety of content from German into English, ensuring accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and adherence to specific style guides.
• Assist senior linguists with terminology research and glossary creation.
• Utilize CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools, such as Trados Studio, MemoQ, or similar, to optimize translation workflows.
• Review and proofread translated materials to ensure linguistic quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
• Participate in quality assurance processes and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of translation memories and terminology databases.
• Learn about industry best practices, localization workflows, and client-specific requirements.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Native-level proficiency in English and advanced-level proficiency in German (C1/C2 equivalent).
• Excellent written communication skills in English.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with CAT tools (e.g., Trados Studio, MemoQ, Wordfast).
• Basic understanding of translation theory and principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and time management abilities.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Modern Languages, or a related field.
• Prior experience with translation or localization projects (academic or professional).
• Knowledge of specific subject matter domains (e.g., technical, marketing, legal).
• Familiarity with style guides and client-specific instructions.
