Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Urban Planner to join our dynamic City Planning Office. This role involves contributing to the strategic development and design of Pforzheim, ensuring sustainable growth, community well-being, and efficient resource utilization. The successful candidate will work on diverse projects, from master planning and zoning to public space design and environmental impact assessments, playing a crucial role in the city’s future.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Develop and implement urban planning strategies, policies, and regulations.
• Prepare comprehensive land-use plans, zoning ordinances, and design guidelines.
• Conduct site analyses, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.
• Engage with the public, stakeholders, and community groups through workshops and meetings.
• Collaborate with other city departments, external agencies, and consultants.
• Manage planning applications and provide expert advice on development proposals.
• Research and analyze demographic, economic, and environmental data to inform planning decisions.
• Contribute to grant applications and funding proposals for urban development projects.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Master's degree in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in urban planning, preferably within a municipal setting.
• Strong understanding of German planning law and regulations (BauGB, LBO).
• Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and CAD programs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal in German and English).
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
