Stellenbeschreibung

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Venture Capital Associate to join our investment team in Halle (Saale). This role offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant startup ecosystem, working alongside experienced investors to identify, evaluate, and support high-growth technology companies. The Associate will play a critical role in all aspects of the investment process, from initial deal sourcing to post-investment portfolio management.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

• Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify attractive investment opportunities.
• Perform comprehensive financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence on potential investments.
• Prepare investment memos and presentations for internal review and investment committee meetings.
• Actively source new deal flow through networking, industry events, and direct outreach to founders.
• Support portfolio companies with strategic initiatives, fundraising, and operational challenges.
• Monitor portfolio company performance and contribute to reporting for limited partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, co-investors, and industry experts.

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten

• Proven analytical and quantitative skills, including strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
• Strong understanding of technology trends and the startup ecosystem.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
• High degree of intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning.

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
• Prior experience (2-4 years) in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, venture capital, or a high-growth startup.
• Proficiency in German is a strong plus.
